A History of SKYS
SKYS continues to provide excellence in teaching and training in the field of Iyengar Yoga.
Established in 1989 by Simon M. Marrocco, SKYS initially conducted classes opposite the Astor Theatre in Chapel Street. Later, we occupied a studio in Barkly Street for several years, until we moved into our present day premises at 82 Acland St, where we have stayed for more than a decade.
Conveniently located in the heart of St Kilda, SKYS offers 2 bright and well-aired rooms with air conditioning and heating. Each room is fully equipped with wall ropes and a complete array of Iyengar props.
Many students form a bond with their teachers over years of practice. Some of our students have even been enrolled at SKYS for more than 17 years. For these students, yoga at SKYS enriches their life and deepens their understanding and love of yoga.
