Training Course Details
Take your yoga to the next level with our new teacher training course.
Spanning 8 full weekends , the course will be instructed by Maurizio (Simon) Marrocco, a qualified senior Intermediate level 2 Iyengar teacher, and will be held at YOGA GURUKUL, Iyengar Yoga Retreat Centre in northern New South Wales.
The course is divided into three main components: (i) the technical process of teaching; and (ii) practice of yoga (iii) theory and philosophy of yoga. At the end of the course and upon Simon M M's consent, the trainee will be eligible for the Intro 1 Level Assessment. The Introductory Level Iyengar Yoga Teachers Certificate is recognized worldwide. Experience in Iyengar yoga is required before applying.

About Your Teacher
Simon Maurizio Marrocco is the founder/director of the St Kilda Yoga School in Melbourne since 1989. In 1986, he began practicing Iyengar Yoga in Melbourne. He has taught workshops in major countries around the world and runs Iyengar Yoga Teachers Traning Courses during the year.
He is a Senior Intermediate Iyengar Yoga teacher and assessor.Simon travels yearly to Pune, India, to study with BKS Iyengar, Geeta Iyengar, and Prashant Iyengar.
